Join UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS: NEO for their final two productions!

V-Day's first locally produced UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS festival, UNTIL THE VIOLENCE STOPS: NORTHEAST OHIO has had an exciting two weeks of theater, spoken word and community events taking place throughout the state and raising funds and awareness to end violence against women and girls.

Although the festival is nearly over there are still two more incredible productions taking place:

FRIDAY June 29, A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer

Akron- Summit County Public Library Auditorium, 60 S. High St., 7:30 p.m curtain
Directed by Deb Lemire, Queen Bee Productions.
A night of monologues written by notable writers from around the world and read by celebrated talent. Beyond the time constraint of five minutes or less and the theme of women and violence, each monologue was for the writer to realize. No constructs, restrictions, rules.
Accompanied by composer/arranger extraordinaire, Marge Adler, anything is possible!

Featuring: Taba Aleem, Heather Burns (WAPS), Christine Grisez, Russell Kunz, Kendra Norris, Margo Parker, Damaris Patterson, Marci Paolucci, Donna Rizor-Longfellow, Eric Mansfield (WKYC-TV), Kim Wheeler (WKYC-TV)

V-Day and the Culture Project present a second Benefit Reading of A Memory A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer, July 5th

On Thursday July 5, V-Day and Culture Project's Women Center Stage festival will present a second reading from A Memory, A Monologue, A Rant and A Prayer

at the Culture Project in New York City. The evening will feature readings from Dylan McDermott, Eve Ensler, Ed Blunt, Carole Gilligan, Susan Miller, Elizabeth Lesser, Abiola Abrams, Periel Aschenbrand, Nicole Burdette, among others.

The July 5 reading follows a sold out reading on June 4 that featured Patricia Bosworth, Michael Cunningham, Kathy Engel, Eve Ensler, Hazelle Goodman, Carol Michele Kaplan, Michael Klein, James Lecesne, Lynn Nottage, Mark Matousek, and Olivia Wilde.
