Nadine Abou Zaki
Celebrated sculptor, prize-winning poet and Editor in Chief of Al Hasnaa magazine, the first pan-Arab women's monthly in the Middle East, Nadine Abou Zaki has both experienced and promoted cultural production and participation by women in the Arab world. She was instrumental in organizing the first New Arab Woman Forum in Dubai in October 2007, and is Executive Chair of what is now an annual conference looking at women's roles in leadership, culture and society across the region. Ms. Abou Zaki is Karama's media coordinator in Lebanon, and acts as a vital link between the regional Karama network and Lebanese NGOs. She has a PhD in philosophy from the Sorbonne and has studied sculpture with Aref Rayess, Mona Saudi and Sami Rifai in Lebanon
