On Saturday evening, April 12, 2008 V TO THE TENTH will feature international performances of The Vagina Monologues, musical guests, V-Day activists from across the globe including Kenya, Afghanistan, Iraq, the Philippines, Democratic Republic of Congo, Eastern Europe, men standing up for women and much more.

Calpernia Addams, Glenn Close, Rosario Dawson, Ellen DeGeneres, Jane Fonda, Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, Jennifer Hudson, Julia Stiles, Marisa Tomei, Kerry Washington, Oprah Winfrey and musicians, Eve, Toni Childs, Common, Charmaine Neville, and Joss Stone have already signed on. *

Just a reminder we have put together a "Getting There Guide" on our website at http://www.vday.org/contents/v10/gettingthere. The site includes links to airlines, buses and train services to New Orleans as well as special accommodation discounts for V TO THE TENTH attendees.

Also! When organizing your travel don't forget to come for the whole weekend - there will be a variety of fun and interesting things going on!

V-Day activists from around the world can meet at the Superdome to network and connect with each other, and the women of the Gulf South.

To help show the scope of the movement, as well as the creativity and dedication of our V-Teams around the world, we are asking ALL ORGANIZERS to bring with you paraphernalia from your V-Day events to be placed on our V-Day Memorabilia Wall which will be located in the Superdome during SUPERLOVE. This means t-shirts, posters, brochures, postcards, banners, fliers, pictures, buttons, and anything else from your V-Day event(s) that you want to share.

Anything you bring for the wall will NOT be returned, so please only bring items that you can part with!]

We cannot even begin to express how excited we are for the coming year and we are truly counting on each and every organizer to not only make it to New Orleans, but to be thinking about how you can bring a delegation with you. We know money can be tight and New Orleans, for many of you, is a long ways away, however V TO THE TENTH is about celebrating and honoring the last ten years of the V-Day movement, a movement that you have all helped create. We really want each and every one of you to come, to meet each other, to honor each other and to help us launch V-Day into the next ten years where together we will end violence against women and girls.
